Planning has begun for the 2012 caucuses.  Please check this blog regularly for updates. 

New Chair

Ken Buxton has been elected as the new chair of the 8th LD Democratic Commitee.  Welcome aboard, Ken and Karen!

Election for Chair in November

In conjunction with the November Benton County committee meeting, we will have an election to fill the open position for the 8th LD Chair.  If you are an 8th LD PCO, please plan to attend.

Members of the Executive Board

According to the bylaws the members of the Executive Board includes the 8th LD Committee officers:

Also, according to the bylaws, either the Chair or the Executive Board can call a special meeting of the committee.  Four members of the Executive Board constitutes a quorum.  The bylaws state that a minimum of 4 regularly scheduled meetings are to be held each year.  If two successive regular meetings are not held, any two officers can call a meeting.  If no two officers call a meeting, ten PCOs can call a meeting.

At this time, to my knowledge, no meetings have been scheduled other than the reorganization meeting in January.  Perhaps it is time to get one on the calendar.
